WebAcrocanthosaurus was a large carnosaur theropod dinosaur that had a large head, many sharp teeth, strong arms, powerful back legs, and a long slender tail that balanced its body when it ran. It lived alongside the small raptor Deinonychus, some small ankylosaurs, and hunted large sauropods. WebThese predators were likely fully carnivorous, and possibly piscivores, meaning they may have primarily eaten fish, as well. It is highly likely that they fed on large fish, and researchers have found digested scales in the rib cages of at least one specimen. They might have had a diet similar to modern-day crocodiles.
