Animal companion makes both your pets do 65% damage for a total of 130%, and the specialisation/family of your second pet does not matter whatsoever and is an entirely cosmetic choice. Thats a rough estimate, its not 30% more dmg. It was roughly 8% more KC dmg, and almost 50% less pet main ability dmg.
