Web13 dec. 2007 · I already have some NGK's for gt40p heads. Wrightway, did you mean they have some that are shorter than their regular plugs? The ones I need are .708" reach, extended tip, taper seat, 5/8" socket, but the part of the plug that sticks out of the head needs to be shorter to clear the header collector on the passenger side. Web1 jul. 2024 · GT40P heads in a 351w I installed those heads on my previous and in my current 351w, the difference in performance, with no other modifications is really significant, I love them. I didn't have to modify anything else, I put the recommended valves and springs for flat tappet hydraulic lifters.

For some reason the spacing of the studs is not the same on the heads that came with the pedestal mount rockers (after mid '77) vs the ones with the stud mount.
